As a pioneer of sustainable development in the African timber industry, we believe that the forest is a shared resource. As a result, we strive to operate and grow our business activities in a way that respects and protects the environment and the ecosystems it contains, for the benefit of future generations.
Thanks to a wide-ranging skills base, our ability to innovate and our desire to add value at local level, we have been able to develop our very own ‘Rougier know-how’. This is an expertise that’s comprehensive, end-to-end and globally recognized in the field of sustainable forest management, wood product manufacturing and the sale of quality, sustainably sourced, certified wood products.
Over the course of our hundred-year-old existence, we have demonstrated our resilience and our determination to maintain the key ingredients of our core identity over time: environmentally responsible forestry combined with the never-ending battle to maintain the highest standards of product quality.
After originally being a regionally based venture, over the past 100 years we have grown into a global business.
With the help of team members from a wide range of backgrounds, we export our products to 50 countries worldwide thanks to our impressive sales network that stretches from the United States to Asia and Europe. This network plays the role of our company’s ambassador and is a familiar and trusted presence on the international stage.
